Irvine Old Vine Shiraz 2021

Country : Australia

Region : Barossa  Valley, South Australia

Grape Variety: Shiraz

Alc. : 14.8%

Type : Red Wine

  • Tasting Notes

    Colour: Dense plum red.

Nose: Kirsch cherry liqueur, anise, coriander seed and fresh coffee grinds.

Palate: Layers of mulberry and sloe plum, with savory notes of toasted     anise and bitter chocolate.  A chewy   and textural palate, with fine layers tannin adding precision, length and persistence.

  • Food Pairing

Would pair well with a range of high-quality hard cheese, a good Cheddar, Gouda or maybe an aged Comte. Meat wise, try it with something like Beef Wellington, Filet Mignon, Wagyu or any of those more textural beef cuts. Pairing with a mushroom broth or creamy pasta would also work well.
